It has been reported that the Hawks are likely waiving 15-year veteran Mike Dunleavy Jr. come tomorrow. Playing 30 games in Atlanta after being acquired by the team in the Kyle Korver trade, Dunleavy averaged 5.6 points per game as Hawk last season.
Indications are Mike Dunleavy Jr. will be waived and the guard will be a free agent this summer. Contract guarantees on July 1.
This appears to be another salary dumping move by Travis Schlenk. The team recently shipped Ryan Kelly to the Houston Rockets for cash considerations, and Dunleavy was set to make north of $5 million next season.
