The Atlanta Hawks announced on Sunday that they had requested waivers on guard Lamar Patterson. Per the announcement, the team and Patterson came to an agreement on his release so that he could attend to a personal matter.
The Hawks signed Patterson and forward Ryan Kelly to contracts for the remainder of the season following last Thursday’s trade deadline. Patterson had previously inked a pair of 10-day contracts with the Hawks.
Patterson appeared in five games with the Hawks this season averaging 1.8 points and 1.2 assists.
The Hawks originally acquired Patterson in a draft night trade at the 2014 Draft.
