When the Atlanta Hawks elected to move on from Jarrett Jack and Will Bynum on consecutive days, all indications were that the team had settled on the 15-man roster for the start of the 2016-2017 regular season. On Saturday afternoon, those suspicions were confirmed, as Chris Vivlamore of the AJC reports that Atlanta parted ways with Josh Magette.
Magette was considered the longest of long-shots to make the roster out of training camp, and it is frankly an upset that he was the final cut. In addition to the news concerning Magette, the AJC reports confirmation from Mike Budenhozler that the Hawks will begin the season with only two point guards, Dennis Schröder and Malcolm Delaney.
