Mike Scott entered Thursday as the longest-tenured member of the Atlanta Hawks. Before the 2017 trade deadline passed, he was reportedly on his way to Phoenix to join the second team in his NBA career.
Sources: Atlanta has traded Mike Scott to the Phoenix Suns for cash.

Scott failed to gain traction as a member of the rotation this season, appearing in only 18 games and shooting just 29 percent from the floor and 15 percent from beyond the three-point arc. While the Suns would have to trade some sort of future asset beyond cash to complete the deal, it will likely be a highly-protected second round draft choice that will never convey.
