The Atlanta Hawks announced on Wednesday that they have signed guard Lamar Patterson to a second 10-day contract. Patterson's first 10-day contract expired last night. He appeared in three games with Atlanta so far this season going 2 for 8 from the field in 20 minutes of playing time.
By rule, the Hawks will have a decision to make when Patterson's new 10-day contract expires. Teams are allowed to sign players to no more than two 10-day contracts in a season. When this 10-day contract expires, Atlanta will either have to let Patterson go or sign him for the remainder of the season.
