ATLANTA –- The Atlanta Hawks have signed forward Kenny Gabriel, it was announced today. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Gabriel, a 6’8” forward, spent last season with Turk Telecom in Turkey, where he appeared in 42 games (35 starts) and averaged 9.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 26.8 minutes (.430 FG%, .339 3FG%, .784 FT%). He has also played in New Zealand, Greece and Russia. He’s played in NBA summer league with Sacramento, Cleveland and Miami.
The native of Charlotte, NC played three seasons at Auburn University (2009-12) after transferring from Paris (TX) Junior College.
