After Tiago Splitter got injured midway through the season, Atlanta Hawks fans thought that they would see the man they call “Moose,” Mike Muscala. However, on the first day of March, the front office announced the signing of veteran big man Kris Humphries.
Humphries, now on his seventh NBA team, made an immediate impact by playing lock-down defense and making open shots. There is no question that Humphries has been a great addition to the team; but, if the Hawks want maximum production off of the bench, should Mike Muscala receive more playing time?
Mike Muscala primarily gained recognition in Game 3 of the conference semiinals last season against the Washington Wizards, where he hit a game-tying three-pointer with 14 seconds left, before Paul Pierce called game.
