Projecting second round picks in the NBA Draft is a fruitless exercise, but another name has surfaced as fodder for the Atlanta Hawks. Former Wichita State guard Ron Baker will work out for the team on Friday, according to a report from Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Baker was a four-year starter for the Shockers, teaming with Fred VanVleet to lead Wichita State to an unbeaten regular season and a number one seed in the 2014 NCAA Tournament. Though he is not considered to be in the mix for a first round draft slot on June 23, the 6-foot-4 guard could land among the 30 second round selections, as he ranks 57th overall in this class according to ESPN's Chad Ford.
