Jenkins fills the final spot on the 20-man roster that teams can hold in the offseason, before cutting down to the final 15 before the season starts in mid-October. He played 98 games across three seasons for the Hawks from 2013 to 2015 before his fourth year rookie contract team option was declined before the 2014-15 season.
