To clear cap space, the Atlanta Hawks have parted ways with forward Austin Daye.
With free agency begin to wrap up as the NBA's moratorium comes to a close, the Atlanta Hawks freed up cap space by waiving veteran forward Austin Daye on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old Daye averaged 3.3 points and 1.8 rebounds per game in 8 appearances with the Hawks during the 2014-2015 season, and he was signed after being waived by the San Antonio Spurs. The release comes two days after his 52 point performance in a Pro-Am tournament in Los Angeles.
