Atlanta Hawks point guard Dennis Schröder arrested for battery, per report

UPDATE 1:20 PM Eastern: Per the AJC’s Michael Cunningham, Schroder will travel with the team to Miami for the team’s preseason opener against the Heat:

The Atlanta Hawks completed training camp earlier this week but, on the precipice of the 2017-2018 season, it appears point guard Dennis Schröder’s campaign is not getting off to a great start. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN brings word that Atlanta’s point guard and best returning player was arrested.

Sources: Hawks guard Dennis Schroder was arrested on a misdemeanor battery charge in early morning hours on Thursday in Atlanta suburb.

The ESPN report indicates Schröder was charged with misdemeanor battery and released on bail.
