The Atlanta Hawks announced on Saturday that it had picked up the fourth-year option on the contract of John Collins, as well as the third-year options for both Trae Young and Kevin Huerter.
According to Spotrac, Collins’s fourth-year option will be worth $4.14 million, Huerter’s third-year option will be for $2.76 million and Young’s third-year option is worth $6.57 million. Considering those players will likely be three best on the entire Hawks roster in 2020-21, that is an absolute bargain of a price.
Now that the Hawks have picked up the options of those three options on its most important players, the only players with contracts for the 2020-21 season are members of the team’s young core: The three aforementioned above as well as rookies De’Andre Hunter, Cam Reddish and Bruno Fernando.
