Well, Opening Night for the Atlanta Hawks sounds like it’s going to be awesome. Not only are the Hawks playing real, meaningful basketball for the first time since being swept by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals, there will also be some kind of concert. Halftime? Pregame? It’s all shrouded in mystery.
According to a press release the organization released today, October 27th will feature a half-time concert from Atlanta based rapper Rich Homie Quan.
The Atlanta Hawks will open the 2015-16 regular season at Philips Arena on Oct. 27 against the Detroit Pistons, and for the second consecutive season, the club has enlisted an Atlanta-based hip-hop star to enhance the opening night celebration.
