Without Head Coach Mike Budenholzer Friday night, the Atlanta Hawks struggled to execute down the stretch, and dropped their third game of the season, 106-93 to the Boston Celtics in Boston.
Atlanta’s Mike Muscala scored all seven of his points in the fourth quarter of Friday night’s encounter to bring Atlanta to within three, 86-83 with 6:44 remaining.
However, that would be as close as the Hawks would come to getting back in the contest, as Boston then went on a 20-10 run to close out the game in winning fashion.
Boston’s leading scorer Isaiah Thomas made two crucial three-point shots down the stretch to stave off Atlanta’s comeback efforts.
