Former Atlanta Hawks big man Elton Brand is set to retire, according to a report by Al Coqueran of The Examiner. Brand played two seasons in Atlanta after signing with the Hawks after the 2012-2013 season.

In his first season with Atlanta Brand appeared in 73 games where he averaged 5.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game on 53.9 percent shooting. Brand slid into the rotation after Al Horford went down with a season ending injury, giving the Hawks depth inside when they desperately needed it.
