After 56 games it’s fair to say that the Atlanta Hawks remain as a big a mystery as they were at the beginning of the season. They are currently 32-24 and are comfortably in 5th place in the Eastern Conference as the All-Star break begins.
They’re close enough to the 3rd place Washington Wizards that it feels like they have a chance to close that gap, but far enough away from the 6th place Indiana Pacers that 5th feels like their floor, barring a huge collapse post-All-Star break.
Getting to this point has been a wild ride.
