The Brooklyn Nets completed a three-game season sweep against the Atlanta Hawks last night by the narrowest of margins – a two-point victory with the Hawks getting a chance to steal one with the final shot.
The Hawks kept it close for much of the second half after the Nets had carried a 56-47 lead into the locker room at halftime. The Nets used a balanced scoring attack as well as an absolute avalanche of fouls from the Hawks to take this one on the road.
The Nets need every game they can get as they attempt to make the playoffs in the Eastern Conference despite the toughest remaining schedule in the NBA.
