The Atlanta Hawks were looking to play a bit of spoiler ball Wednesday night, as they took on the current 8th seed in the West, the ever-relevant San Antonio Spurs.
It was one of the ugliest games on the year for either team, with both struggling with turnovers, poor shooting and fouls.
The Spurs rallied out to a hot start, up double digits by the end of the first quarter, but a good second period kept Atlanta in it, and it was close throughout the rest of the night.
Despite Taurean Prince, who was having a great night defensively, getting ejected on some pretty cheap techs, the young Hawks were able to stay chippy on that end of the floor.
