With the Atlanta Hawks shockingly slated to play in a preseason game just under two weeks from now, preseason hubbub is gaining steam throughout the NBA.
The Hawks are garnering some mainstream attention due to the team’s exciting young core and high-level talent that has been accrued via the NBA Draft over the course of the past three seasons. Though the rebuild was slightly stunted in its first season by a clingy Mike Budenholzer, the Hawks showed signs of growth last season.
With three new rookies on the roster in 2018-19, which has now been whittled down to only two remaining (Young and Kevin Huerter), the 2019-20 season will also see the addition of three more vaunted rookies via the 2019 NBA Draft.
