Dorsey had a better than average season for a mid-second round pick averaging 7.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists. He doesn’t have super ideal size for the position standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing only 183 pounds but his shooting can combat a lot of that.
His most promising stretch came near the end of the season, where he scored double digits in 6 of his last 7 games. During that scoring binge, he shot 44.7% on 5.4 attempts a game, well above his season averages of 3.6 and 36.2%.
If he can keep up that kind of shooting Dorsey can be an extremely valuable bench guy (aka a poor man’s Kyle Korver) or even a spot starter.
