When the Atlanta Hawks selected Alpha Kaba with the No. 60 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, general manager Travis Schlenk quickly indicated that the plan for his development would be to remain in Europe for the 2017-2018 season. On Friday, word broke, courtesy of Kaba’s agent, that the young big man has pledged to join ASVEL of the French Pro A League on a multi-year agreement.
According to a statement released by San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker, who is the president of the team, Kaba’s contract is three years in length.
Without knowing the full-blown specifics of the deal, it is unknown as to just how quickly Kaba could come to Atlanta if he progresses well.
