The Hawks came into today with no picks in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft. But after dealing AJ Griffin to the Houston Rockets, the team netted the 44th overall pick. With that pick, they swapped with the Miami Heat at 43. And from there, Atlanta opted for Nikola Djurisic, a Serbian international who last played for Mega Basket.
Djurisic is a 6-foot-8 forward with a versatile game that is still growing into his skillset. He entered the pre-draft process back in 2023, but opted to stay overseas back then. Now, after entering the 2024 draft, he may look to join the Hawks’ Summer League team in Las Vegas before he and the organization decide on his status for the upcoming season.
