Across all sports, the draft is always a complete toss-up. Some players inexplicably fall multiple spots until a lucky team nabs them much lower than they expected to be. From last year’s NBA draft, just look at Dennis Smith Jr. for the Mavericks and Rookie of the Year candidate Donovan Mitchell for the Jazz.
Mitchell, in particular, has taken the league by storm, smashing insane dunks and knifing his way to the line for stylish and difficult scoop shots around and over proven superstars – even in the playoffs. It’s safe to say that any team that had a draft pick above where the Jazz selected Mitchell, would love to have Spida.
