In today's Hawks news update, three Atlanta Hawks players received votes in the NBA's annual All-Defensive Team selection announced on Monday.
Per Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, "DeMarre Carroll and Jeff Teague each received two Second Team votes and Paul Millsap received one Second Team vote."
The Chicago Bulls' Joakim Noah led all vote-getters with 223 points, including 105 first-place votes.
Noah joins the Clippers’ Chris Paul, the Thunder’s Serge Ibaka, the Warriors’ Andre Iguodala, and the Pacers' Paul George on the First Team.
The All-Defensive Second Team features the Rockets’ Patrick Beverley, the Bulls’ Jimmy Butler, the Spurs' Kawhi Leonard, the Pacers’ Roy Hibbert, and the Heat's LeBron James.
According to Vivlamore, "the voting panel consisted of 123 writers and broadcasters from the U.S. and Canada. Two points were awarded for a First Team vote and one point was awarded for a Second Team vote."
