In tonight's look into the world of Hawks news, analysts are starting to narrow down their projections for who the Atlanta Hawks may pick in the first round of the 2014 NBA Draft.
One of those who have come out with a list of potential names is Brian Garcia of iSportsWeb: "The Hawks need to look at the small forward position in the draft, and the first round is deep in talent. [Jabari] Parker and [Andrew] Wiggins will certainly be gone by the time Atlanta is on the clock, but Duke’s Rodney Hood, Kentucky’s James Young, North Carolina’s T.J. Warren and Dario Saric from Croatia are all mid round options that could be around when the Hawks pick."
Rodney Hood might be the most intriguing option of the pool of players that Garcia mentioned, as he has the size and presence of an NBA wing player, along with having a shooting touch which makes him one the better pure scores in this draft class.
His pull-up jump shot is a killer - something that the Hawks would love to have as a threat on the floor when it comes to spacing and providing shots for other shooters when Hood is closed in on too early.
