We’ve closed the door on the 2025 NFL Draft, and it was an interesting one to say the least. The Falcons finished the weekend with five newly drafted rookies, and fewer 2026 draft picks after some trade maneuvering.
Defense was clearly the priority, as four of the five players Atlanta drafted are defenders. This team has lacked a consistent pass rush basically since John Abraham, and I have to say, investing two first-round picks in EDGE players is a statement. I’m not sure how I feel about the trade back into the first to get James Pearce Jr.
