FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Monday marked the first closed practice for the Falcons during this year's training camp, but that didn't have any sort of effect on the team's intensity.
As always, players on both sides of the ball were flying around making plays, and one of the biggest of the afternoon came from rookie safety Deron Washington.
The first-year player out of Pittsburg State stepped in front of a pass intended for rookie tight end Eric Saubert and took off in the opposite direction. Had this been a live game, Washington likely would have put six points on the board.
