Typically 17 games is not a large enough sample size to judge a head coach on. However, this is the NFL and coaches have been fired in shorter time frames (sorry, Hue Jackson and Rob Chudzinski). Heck, if we were to judge Dan Quinn on his first five games as a head coach, you would have heard choruses of “coach of the year” or to a more exaggerated extent “greatest Falcon coach of all-time.”
However, 12 games have lapsed since, and many fans are starting to sing a different tune about the man not only tasked with coaching the team but one who was also given final say over the 53-man roster.
