The Atlanta Falcons are going to need to play crisp football to beat the Saints, and any help they can get from the Saints via turnovers or ineffective play would be most welcome. Few things the Saints could do on the field would have the impact of this news, though, if it turns out to be something meaningful.
Michael Thomas is the Saints’ best receiver, yes, but he’s also one of the few Saints who has been effective against the Falcons in every one of his starts thus far. He’s the most dangerous player they have outside of Alvin Kamara, and if he’s at all limited or simply misses this game, the Falcons’ defense is going to have a much easier day.
