The NFL changes the extra point attempt, adds a degree of difficulty

An interesting move for the NFL, which hasn't touched the extra point in years.

The NFL is either adding a degree of difficulty for kickers or attempting to boost point totals. Either way, there's a big change coming in 2015.

NFL now will have 33-yard extra points, inviting teams to try more two-point conversions.

For quality kickers, this change likely means a couple of missed extra points per season, upping the ante for some of the most reliable men in the business. Don't be surprised or overly angry if Matt Bryant whiffs on one this season, given the NFL has added nearly 15 years on to every attempt.
