The Falcons went 1-3 in November, scoring 38 in their win and 16, 19, and 17 points in their three losses. They couldn’t run and their defense was shaky, but one of the biggest challenges Atlanta faced was pass protection.
It turns out that Matt Ryan, who played well but not nearly as well as he had up to this point, deals with sustained pressure about as well as every other quarterback does: Not extremely well. And make no mistake, Ryan was under pressure, as he was hit an average of eight times per game in November.
