Kirk Cousins shows us this offense’s potential
There’s no question that Cousins’ Achilles is healthy after tonight’s performance. The quarterback was able to operate under center, run all the play-action concepts many requested, and avoid pressure on multiple occasions. The questions now surround the quarterback’s arm strength and confidence; we saw plenty of the latter on the final drive.
Cousins may have held the ball too much and missed some throws tonight, but plenty of flashes and a stunning late-game drive show why the Falcons will stick with him and continue to let him work off the rust, hoping he can build back some of his lost strength.
