Similar to what head coach Dan Quinn has done with several other players this offseason, he’s moving Tyson Jackson inside to defensive tackle after mostly being featured as a defensive end.
“This year we are trying him at defensive tackle,” Quinn said of the position move. “When you play that spot, we are counting on a little more rush from that position. He’s worked hard on that. His weight is down and he looks fit. That versatility, [similar] to where we are playing Derrick Shelby, some at end, nickel tackle, and we are also doing that versatility with Tyson.
