After week 12 of the 2023 season concluded, Atlanta Falcons’ Younghoe Koo became the most efficient kicker in history (with a minimum of 100 attempts) with a 90% success rate. Two weeks later, he would lose that title in a rough outing against Tampa Bay, where he missed a 50 and 52-yard field goal in the second quarter. Koo hadn’t had a multi-miss game since week 2 of 2017.
Unfortunately for Koo, this would be the first of two multi-miss field-goal performances in the season’s final stretch. He would also miss two against Chicago from 42 and 50 yards, but it’s worth noting that those attempts did occur in the wind and snow.
