NEW ORLEANS -- Down Interstate 10 some 80 miles northwest of New Orleans, Atlanta Falcons cornerback Robert Alford put in the time and effort this offseason to have moments like last Sunday.
The Hammond, Louisiana, native returns to familiar territory Thursday night versus the New Orleans Saints fresh off a game-winning, 59-yard interception return for a touchdown in a 25-19 overtime win over Washington. His good friend, former Pro Bowl defensive back and current ESPN analyst Ryan Clark, enjoyed it maybe just as much as Alford did.
"I'm extremely happy for him," Clark said.
