This offseason, the Atlanta Falcons parted ways with Pro Bowl tight end Austin Hooper who was coming off of the best season in his young NFL career. Also this offseason, the team parted ways with another tight end in Luke Stocker who may be making his way back to Atlanta.
Although a signing hasn’t occurred just yet, it’s very possible due to offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter and quarterback Matt Ryan’s familiarity with the 9-year veteran tight end. Before playing for the Falcons in 2019, Stocker spent nearly seven seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and a little over one season with the Tennessee Titans.
