Seemingly only minutes after Grady Jarrett signed a four-year, $68 million deal to remain with the Falcons, it was reported the team was preparing to negotiate with star linebacker Deion Jones. Extensions with Julio Jones and Jarrett have been in process for over a year, so it was fair to think today’s meeting with agent Drew Rosenhaus was the first step in a long process.
Per D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, it’s the last step in a long process.
Deion Jones’ agent Drew Rosenhaus is reportedly in town and the parties could reach a deal by end of business on Wednesday.
