Monday’s practice that was full of rain became a little less gloomy when Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman suited and participated in position drills.
The running back group has recently been plagued with hamstring injuries. Freeman and Coleman were both sidelined for the past week with their respective injuries. Antone Smith —who currently sits behind Freeman and Coleman on the depth chart— injured his hamstring during a 1-yard touchdown run in the first preseason game Friday night.
Even though Freeman and Coleman were limited to position drills, head coach Dan Quinn is optimistic and says they are getting close to being able to fully participate.
