When the Falcons take the field on Sunday in the home opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the man across the field from Raheem Morris will be one who has had a huge impact on his career.
Morris and Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin worked together with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Morris was hired in 2002 as a defensive quality control coach, and Tomlin was entering his second season as the team’s defensive backs coach — a role he stayed in through 2005.. Morris was named a defensive assistant the following season, and from 2004-2005 Morris was Tomlin’s assistant defensive backs coach.
