Well, the people spoke, and Deion Jones was chosen as the best second-round pick Atlanta Falcons have ever made. It’s an inspired pick for one of the NFL’s elite linebackers, if not one that can spark spirited discussion.
As we get into the third round of Falcons draft history, the list may suffer from recency bias. The team has made a dramatic uptick in finding success in this round over the last decade, with the team nearly whiffing entirely on notable names in the 90s and a good chunk of the 80s.
There’s an obvious pick on here in William Andrews, a franchise great at the running back position and a member of the Falcons’ Ring of Honor.
