ATLANTA -- Devonta Freeman wasn't going down. No chance.
The Atlanta Falcons running back took a second-quarter handoff from Matt Ryan, shrugged off a weak, one-arm tackle attempt by San Francisco 49ers linebacker Aaron Lynch, lowered his shoulder to barrel over safety Jaquiski Tartt, then didn't even flinch as cornerback Rashard Robinson twisted his facemask. It was all part of Freeman remarkable 9-yard touchdown run that was an immediate response to his first fumble of the season -- right at the goal line -- on the preceding drive.
It's not a surprise Freeman quickly atoned for his mistake.
