FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- The text messages overloaded Deion Jones' phone a couple of weeks ago after the Atlanta Falcons linebacker's late leaping interception sealed a win over his hometown New Orleans Saints.
"Why you had to do that to us?" read one. "You're from here" read another.
It was all in good fun and exactly what Jones, the ex-Saints fan who used to wear a Ricky Williams jersey, expected. He thought initially, after 32 NFL games, he would have converted all of his family and friends back home to Falcons fans.
