The Falcons were shorthanded on defense before their game against the 49ers on Sunday and the situation worsened when two key players suffered injuries during the first half today.
Starting defensive end Tyson Jackson (rib) and reserve safety Robenson Therezie (hamstring) both left the game. The Falcons said they are questionable to return.
Three key Falcons defensive players are inactive because of injuries: starting safety William Moore (groin), starting linebacker Justin Durant (calf) and No. 3 cornerback Robert Alford (groin).
