The Atlanta Falcons' draft class of 2001 wasn't filled with Hall of Famers, but it did have a couple of game-changers who helped the franchise get on the winning track. It started with quarterback Michael Vick, a player the Falcons selected with the first overall pick. The Falcons traded the fifth overall pick, their third-round pick and a second-round pick in 2002 to move up and select Vick, who went on to be named to three Pro Bowls while creating a buzz in Atlanta before his dramatic fall.
In the second round, the Falcons selected tight end Alge Crumpler out of North Carolina, who went to four consecutive Pro Bowls.
