Mariota set to have MRI, status for Falcons’ game unclear

FLOWERY BRANCH – Tennessee quarterback Marcus Mariota, who took a beating in their 38-10 loss to the Dolphins, is set to have MRI to determine the extent of a knee injury.

The Falcons (5-1) are set to face the Titans (1-4) at 1 p.m. Sunday at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.

Former Georgia and LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger finished the game for the Titans.

Mariota kept playing after a low hit that drew the ire of Tennessee coach Ken Whisenhunt.
