Lions add former Falcons scout Mark Olson

FLOWERY BRANCH

In 2015, Olson completed his 18th season in the Falcons player personnel department and his third year as a national scout.

Olson originally joined the Falcons in 1998 as a scouting assistant. He’s also worked with the Redskins, Vikings and Montreal of the Canadian Football league.
The Falcons have been revamping their scouting department this offseason.

The Falcons hired Joel Collier to replace Lionel Vital, who elected to leave the team instead of accepting a demotion down to national scout.

They’ve added national scouts in former general managers Ruston Webster and Phil Emery.
