Julio Jones is once again re-writing the franchise record books. In Thursday night’s season-opening matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Alabama Crimson Tide alum notched 10 catches for 169 receiving yards, leading the Atlanta Falcons’ offense in both categories.
In the process, Julio set a new franchise record for 100-yard receiving games with 40 in his career as a Falcon. The record used to belong to his former teammate Roddy White — a career Falcon who had 39 such games.
What’s most impressive about this is just how little time it took Jones to break this record.
