James Carpenter carted from Raiders game with groin injury

The Falcons lost starting guard James Carpenter early in the 4th quarter against the Oakland Raiders. While up 33 to 6, Carpenter went down in what appeared to be a leg injury. He was carted off the field and was almost immediately ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Carpenter was replaced by journeyman Justin McCray, most recently with the Cleveland Browns. Ito Smith quickly scored on an 8-yard touchdown run.
