Falcons safety Kemal Ishmael already did the hard part when he intercepted Blake Bortles’ pass at the goal line near the end of the first half. Now all Ishmael to do was wait for teammate Justin Durant to finish off Bortles with a block and then Ishmael could run into the end zone for the touchdown.
Instead, Bortles shed Durant’s block attempt and tripped up Ishmael near the 20-yard line. That’s a quarterback beating a block by a linebacker to make a touchdown-saving tackle.
