The Atlanta Falcons got flexed to primetime Sunday night against the Washington Commanders before Michael Penix was announced as the starter and the team crushed the New York Giants, but it seems fortunate they were. This is an absolutely vital game for both teams, but for the Falcons it’s an opportunity to beat a true contender, set themselves up in ideal position to make the playoffs, and give Michael Penix and Raheem Morris (among others) early signature wins.
They’ll hope to do so in front of a national audience and stay undefeated against the NFC East in 2024, with wins against the Eagles, Cowboys, and Giants already under their belts.
